Everything else depends on it. Halden takes a building from excavation to handover, and stays on site until the last bolt is torqued.
Halden is a structural contractor. We pour, we frame, we set tolerances that architects can design against. Thirty one years in, we still measure twice on a Sunday.
The studio works with nine in-house disciplines. Engineers sit next to the site teams, so a detail that fails in the field gets redrawn the same afternoon.
Ground investigation, raft and pile design, post-tensioned slabs. We model the structure before the first excavator arrives, then we build what we modelled.
Fair-faced concrete is a one-take discipline. Panel layout, tie positions and pour sequence are agreed with the architect before anything is cast.
Stone, timber and glazed systems set against the frame. Tolerances are carried through from structure to facade so nothing is packed out at the end.
